For the large launcher we cut one piece of pvc pipe about 12" long. Four smaller pieces are also needed and can be cut either 5" for a bigger handle or 4" for a smaller one. It doesn't matter which size you choose but all four need to be the same size. To keep kids from inhaling the marshmallows we cut two pieces of thin string and crisscrossed them on the end of the 12" pvc piece, secured with tape, then inserted into the standard T pvc piece (see photo above). Once the pieces were pushed together we covered the exposed string with duct tape. The rest of the launcher was assembled as pictured to the left. The small launcher is built much the same way. We cut the launching piece at about 6" and the handle at about 4". A cover on the bottom of the handle keeps air from escaping. Don't forget the string in the middle as pictured above. Make sure all pieces are push together as far as they will go. Decorate as you like! |

Lesson ideas:
To make- Mark the blown up balloon about 1/3 of the way up. We used black marker which I wouldn't recommend as the glue adheres to it leaving a black ring at the top of your basket. Brush glue on a section of balloon and apply the fabric squares. Make sure to put more glue on top of each square before overlapping with additional squares. Cover the entire lower marked section of balloon. For best results use plenty of glue and overlap a ton. Allow to dry. I put mod podge as a final covering to make it shiny. When dry, pop the balloon, punch holes in opposite sides using a hole punch, and thread the wired ribbon for a handle. Two weeks later we made resurrection eggs and added them to our baskets so we were ready for Easter!
We needed a place to display the kids art, accomplishments, calendars, etc. besides the kitchen refrigerator. When I came across a similar magnet board I decided it was the perfect fix. My kids jumped in and made each board "their own". What you need for the board-
